Bedded By The Boss Mills Boon Modern eBook Miranda Lee

I loved this book. The story line was so regular and believable. No set of angst and unnecessary lies being festered. The characters were great, and honest too. They dealt with issues immediately as they occurred. It was an easy and exciting read. Nothing was over done. Great book.

Bedded By The Boss Mills Boon Modern eBook Miranda Lee Reviews

One of my favorite Miranda Lee's; the hero has depth that is not often seen in short contemporary romance, he is lovable, compassionate, strong, vibrant, and passionate. Jessie is vulnerable and but resilient, easily engaging my sympathy, and Emily is just an adorable child. I will give it 4.5
From the Back,

Dare she sleep with the Boss?

Jessie was thrilled to be offered a job at a top Sydney advertising agency. But her heart sank when she saw the boss--because she'd met Kane Marshall before....

However, Kane hired Jessie there and then; he wanted to get to know her better! But though nine-til-five Jessie was at Kane's bidding, after hours she definitely wasn't for bedding!

This is Miranda Lee at her best, slight twists and turns around many a corner, keep her books interesting and fun to read. These characters of Kane and Jessie also have depth to them. Jessie's main concern is working to support her young daughter, who the reader loves immediately. Kane's main concern is that he wants to care for them both.

The book starts a bit slowly but if you can get through those first ten pages its speeds along from there. Kane is great at breaking slowly through Jessie's barrier wall and does so with a passion and care that makes me want to work for him.

Over all a really good read, for those who love the PRESENTS line.
Miranda Lee's outdone herself with this one. Jessie, a single mother trying to make ends meet, takes one last job as a detective's "bait" for tom-catting husbands so she can earn the money to buy her daughter Emily the doll she wants for Christmas. She goes to the bar where the suspicious wife has told the P.I. her husband hangs out, talks to the man and invariably is able to record the husband making her an offer she CAN and does refuse.

Then, Jessie mistakenly meets Kane Marshall, twin brother to a man who had only been drinking alone at the bar those nights he didn't go home and is now making up with his wife. She's definitely attracted and has to sneak out of the bar in order to prevent becoming involved with a man she believes is off the market. Imagine her surprise when she goes for a job interview at an ad agency and sees Kane. She discovers he is divorced, he discovers she needs a ride home that night from work and, although she tries to resist his charm, Kane wears down her resistance and sets a Friday night date with her.

Oh my goodness, I just loooo-ooooooved when she told Kane he shouldn't make plans for Saturday because he'd probably still be in bed recovering from the, um, exercise regimen she has in mind for him. She didn't use that term, I did.

Jessie has a landlord named Dora who is pure gold, babysits Emily, and argues that Kane is one of the good ones when Jessie mistakenly thinks he's a player. Emily has some cute bits in this story and Kane is just adorable with her.

The love scenes are to die for and there are no trumped-up conflicts or melodramatic crying jags or those other desperate plot devices some writers resort to. This IS, after all, Miranda Lee and she's far better than the average Harlequin author. This book might just restore your faith in the Presents line. Sooo romantic and yet sizzling sexual chemistry as well. And when you can laugh out loud, scaring your pet Schnauzer who's snoozing beside you, that's just a bonus )
I originally read this as part of a trilogy about single mums and their bosses. However this one was my favourite, chemistry was abound, the sex scenes delightful, if not more in depth, and story telling to make the characters more 3d
I loved this book. The story line was so regular and believable. No set of angst and unnecessary lies being festered. The characters were great, and honest too. They dealt with issues immediately as they occurred. It was an easy and exciting read. Nothing was over done. Great book.
